Last Saturday was a plain old, no meaning, stableford round. I say this because the last 4 weeks have been all "meaningful" stroke rounds from the back markers for either a Monthly Medal or the just finished Club Championships.

Well, with absolutely no pressure (real or percieved) I set out for my round last Saturday with 3 of my closer mates from the Club and was looking forward to an enjoyable round with them, regardless of what I might shoot.

Finished the day with 34 points. I can't say as I'm wholly unhappy with that because again, the blow outs got me. Twice in fact. 2 "wipes" and 4 1 point holes means I scored 30 points on 12 holes, including a 4 pointer for a birdie on our Par 3 17th hole where I holed a monster 50 something foot putt.

Also picked up a nearest the pin on one of the other Par 3's.

Still, I 3 putted too many times (5 in all) and that said, the overall feeling I have is that I am striking the ball well "Tee to Green(ish)" and from there, as I've said in these threads almost adnauseum, my short game is just not "cutting the mustard!"

Think I need a Pelz putting bible or maybe I just need to practice......

As always, thanks for reading.
Cheers
