The round of the day this week was Stableford and having missed last week, I was keen to get back on course.

Would card a respectable 36 stableford points (85 off the bat) for the day.

The good point for me was that I managed to card at least 1 point for every hole. So, it was 3 3 pointers offset by 3 1 pointers along with 12 2 pointers.

For once, I would manage to keep the blow out holes at bay for an entire round. Double bogey was the worst result for any 1 hole and there were only 2 of them. The other 1 pointer was a bogey on a hole I don't get a stroke on.

For me, this shows a scoring consistency on my part that previously I feel has been sadly lacking.

34 putts for the day can obviously improve, but, with our greens still recovering from a recent coring, I'm not all that disappointed with that stat in isolation.

Again, I struck the ball reasonably well tee to green, and my new found mental approach to the game is seemingly paying dividends.

Next week is Medal day and again I am looking forward to the round.

Thanks for reading.
Cheers
