Won't go into much detail but played at a very nice course. My buddy had won 2 green fees and took me so it was a once in a lifetime opportunity to play a really classy expensive course.
As I mentioned in another thread. I had the craziest Jekyll and Hyde game ever.
Tee shots: either right down the middle with a soft fade or way fat and 20 yards (usually into a hazard).
Same with 5w/7w/hybrid off the deck, either bang on or fat as hell.
Irons were either pured, went sky high and landed softly on the green or shanked out of play.
It was very bizarre as I had no clue what I would get and it led to some very solid holes and some 10s and 12s. I guess I will pick it back up next year and try and get to what I am doing right and eliminate what I am doing so horribly wrong.
I didn't count my score after a while I just enjoyed what it was, a nice time with my best buddy.
Also, the greens had been punched and putting was an hilarious lottery as the ball would snake along taking different directions with the punch marks. I should have had a birdie on the 3rd hole but then again I had a lucky par at another hole as it was missing and bumped to the side and in.
Thanks for reading my quest to break 90. Maybe next year I guess.
