Hi Friends.
Well, it's 03:00 here in the uk, all my family are safely tucked up in bed. I can hear the rain pounding down outside. For a regular nightshift worker it's nothing new for me to be sat in front of my PC in the middle of the night on my days off. I would usally make myself a coffee, smoke a couple of cigarettes and sometimes maybe switch on the TV and head straight for SKY sports. That was until recently, then i discovered this website and Wow ,what a wonderful site this is , so full of like-minded people spanning all ages and all sections of society. I have never seen a site where a C.E.O could be searching for the answer to his shank or his girlie hook and getting helpful hints from an unemployed postal worker on the other side of the world. Golf really is a great leveller not only in it's handicapping system, but also in the fact that the most successful people in the world who play this wonderful game can be humbled by average joe on the course.
We have all struggled with this game at some point and probably some of us are destined to never master it, but those of us with only the slightest knowledge can make a big difference to the people who are totally lost, the people who love this game but are on the verge of giving it up becuase of various swing issues.
The next time that you LOG- ON why not pay a quick visit to the new members forum. A quick " Hello" or a " Welcome " to a new member can really brighten their day( especially if they live in rain soaked manchester) , let them know they are not alone and that we are not so self-obsessed with our own swing issues to type a few words of encouragement to a fellow struggler. You never know , you might be giving advice to the next TIGER WOODS or MICHELLE WIE, or you might just meet the love of your life.
Remember: We are all travelling down the same road .
