It's about 45 minutes away from downtown Auckland, and is one of the cheapest, yet loveliest courses in the area. It's NZ$30 a round, that's about £10!!
, this is because it is a little off the beaten track, but well worth the effort. It can get busy on weekends, but on a week day, most days you could very well be the only person on the course. It drains pretty well too, so it's usually playable even when others in the area are not. And fairly challenging too, most of the fairways are tree lined and you need to be fairly accurate off the tee. It really is one of the best kept secrets in Auckland.
I moved to the other side of the bridge 2 years ago so unfortunately I'm over 1 hour away now, and that's only if I leave at 6 in the morning!! (used to live 25 minutes away), so I'm no longer a member, and I miss it greatly
