Recently played Cog Hill #4. The site of the Western Open. What a course! You had better be preapred to be playing some serious bunker shots. I walked along side tiger for the final round of this years Western Open. I decided to play some of the shots from the situations he was in, and now I realize how good that guy really is. Ridiculous!!! Anyway this is by far the best course I have ever played. Beautiful layout, true greens, beautifully trimmed fairways, which thank god I found a lot of that day. Defnetly a championship caliber course. I would say a potential site of a future US Open. Some of most difficult par three's I have ever came across. Especially number 6. It was playing about 220 after accounting for the wind thats straiht into your face. To a green surrounded by deep bunkers. Along with twelve. That's the one Tiger stuck to about a foot with the pin tucked back in a silly position not fit for the likes of me. Anyway if your ever in Chicago go to Lemont, IL and play course #4 at Cog Hill. You will not be sorry, and it will justify the $135.00 greens fee. !!!ouch!!!
