First post here, I would have thought that more people are prepared to share their fitness theories?
I looked through the weight training forum but, for me, I think the only thing big muscles are good for in golf is for carrying the bag
Trained muscle memory may be the exception.
I don't like all the jumping aound lark to keep fit like aerobics etc; that's really too much like hard work. Anyway, the power in the golf swing comes from the controlled action of body movements. For that reason, I prefer to do Tai Chi ... no don't laugh. It stretches the muscles, trains muscle movement, promotes balance and is cardiovascular ... believe it or not. It is also the continual turning around the waist and it helps posture because the spine remains straight throughout the sequence of exercises.
