I practised my swing at home without a ball – and I pivot naturally. With my irons, when I have a ball in front of me, it is another story – I have found it easier not to pivot which lends itself to a host of problems.
I am wondering, when I am learning to pivot with the ball in front of me – initially should I be concentrating more on the proper swing motion, and pivot and less on striking the ball or vise versa?
Any drills would be greatly appreciated.
