Just out of curiosity, with the strong grip, I do know the left thumb, on the left hand, goes over to the right side of shaft, ( as you are looking down on the shaft ), do you keep the right thumb of the right hand there as well or do you put it over to the left side of the shaft, or down the middle, great forum as always

Interesting this thread came up. I was playing with my son the other day with an ex mini tour golfer. My son was hooking the ball and this player told me this was at least in part due to the fact the his right thumb was directed straight down the shaft. When I asked why this would matter, he said that what happens on the backswing is that if the right thumb is down the shaft rhe right hand will take over the the downswing. I sounded logical to me, but never really heard it put that way before. -
