Downswing

Although I am playing to a 6, I have become obsessed with the downswing plane due to quality of some shots being better than others. Can you tell me which swing thought is best for the downswing, "Pulling down and through while transferring the weight" or " keeping the butt end of the club moving down the line as long as possible before clearing the hands, ie. late hit"
