My previous and current teaching pro have told me that I'm left-side dominant on my downswing. This leads to my right side collapsing causing the left shoulder to be lower than my right, causing fat shots and a too shallow a path into the ball, hence my high shots. This also causes the clubhead to come in too much from the inside causing blocks to the right and snap hooks. My current pro has advised that I should start the downswing by unwinding my upperbody until I see my hands in front of me, seperating my left shoulder from my chin, keeping the right shoulder level with the left. This would normally causes a slice, but because my inside swing is so severe, I'm told I need to feel that I am slicing. The problem is that I DO slice while doing this swing. In these circumstances should I be unwinding my chest out? All books I read say to drop the arms, keeping the back facing the target.
