Here is a list of fundamentals to use in the bunker. This will relieve some of the apprehension that most golfers feel when they find their ball in the bunker.
First open the clubface (important step) before you take your grip.
Take your grip
Set your body open to the target line (aim left of the target)
You do this to match the face angle of your club
The more you open the clubface the further left you have to aim
Dig your feet in a few inches
The reason for this is to get a stable base, and to discover the texture of the sand
The ball should be played forward of your sternum, or your shirt logo. This allows the club to skip through the sand instead of digging.
