Three of us are about to go up to the Scottish borders for our annual golf week, where we play 12 rounds in 7 days (weather permitting)
We do a stableford, but also finish every hole and count all our strokes too. One of us is 10 h/c, one 14 and the other is the same as the 14 h/c, but he hardly plays apart from this week, so we start him on 23.
Then we adjust quite drastically as we go along - if some one wins by 6 strokes he loses 3 shots, and anybody that's 6 shots adrift gets 3 shots back, ie 1 for every two difference.
Last year our 23 h/c won the week by a mile, so we are looking for a better way to do this if anybody does anything similar, or even any other formats that would suit 3 players?
