If you go to the tab called search and type in "bounce", the search engine will pull up a lot of posts on bounce. That would be a good start.
The soft cast is the clubmakers metal recipe. It is ussually a softer density material for shock absorsion and feel. You generally don't hit a wedge that hard so the softer material is desirable.
I play Reid Lockhart wedges that have a dual bounce on each club. Everyone has their favorites. Wedges are as personal as a putter.
