It's the time of the year where I really utilize this shot off the tee. 3 iron stinger.

The high plains and western US are in a severe drought. Here in the panhandle of Nebraska is one of the worst areas. This is the time of the year when I really get consistent off the tee.

With fairways as hard as they are, I can hit this low shot and let it chase right up the hard fairways. And if I happen to miss the fairway, this ball is going to run up the hard pan a long long way.

I just wanted to point out, to those that are in really dry area with hard fast conditions, that this is a shot you might want to practice and utilize.

I'm averaging about 250 off the tee with my 3 iron stinger which is still out driving a lot of the people I play against.

I'm only hitting one driver per 9 holes and that's on a 430 yard par 4.
