What an awesome club. Had my first proper “knock in” session with them today around my home course and they are magic. (used a Taylormade TP Red ball)
Control with fading or drawing the ball is remarkable and stopping power with the short irons (7 – PW) on the green is excellent.
But these clubs are not for the everyday hacker or higher handicapper. ATM i’m hitting off 13HC and wouldn’t recommend these for anyone higher. Off centre hits are too hard on your hands with the vibrations of the club shaking them up and you only get about 70% distance with off centre hits.
The club face is small compared to the everyday Game Improvement iron and this also takes getting use to as the ball looks as big as the club face. I found i had to stand that 1/2 inch closer to the ball and definately focus more on the shot to be played to hit the sweet spot of the club.
Overall, i highly recommend these for the competition player who is hitting off 13 or better and is wanting to go that next step in their golfing career. I’m sure with this smaller sweet spot it will help your swing develop and you’ll soon learn to hit the ball in the centre more consistantly.
