  • counterfiet or not? I know it's long but worth it

I think I posted something like this once before, let me say now I am not pro counterfeit. I have heard that there there is a big crackdown on counterfeit clubs, I have seen no reduction in the number of sites obviously selling counterfeit clubs. There has been a ramping up in the number of these now that most club makes are now outsourced to China. The counterfeits are so good most pro shops would not tell the difference and often the only way to tell is they are sold too cheaply. Take TM R9 for example as I have just seen it at arrival, for a start there is no Chinese written anywhere but the consignment docket, not unusual. . It comes in a clearly marked TM box followed by TM plastic sheath well packed. It has the vacuum sealed plastic head cover. When unwrapped it's graphics are absolutely faultless, it has a serial number and on the shaft a small TM hologram Also with it a tool and headcover. Contacted TM and tried to confirm the serial number and they would not confirm or deny the serial number by email.
Performance , identical to the real deal, adjustments proved the same. So that's it, identical. Take a cruise, there are many many companies offering these at 1/2 normal retail price postage FREE and they continue to thrive with seemingly more opening weekly. I have heard that in some of the OEM factories workers are regularly searched. That's not it with the supply of these clubs in huge numbers. Now, to pull this off it would take a large foundry and many skilled workers, don't forget these are many brands of OEM products AND accessories. I seriously smell a rat. Are these large OEM's slipping them out the back door to take advantage of economies of scale? We see it every day in supermarket products where sometimes the only way to tell an item apart from a well known more expensive brand is in the small labelling where you discover it has the exact same ingredients and address. I just don't see how it's possible to be openly manufacturing and selling rip offs in these numbers and not be closed down and why the hell would someone waste money on an "original"?
