hey everyone,

new here, but been playing for about 18 months

a very low handicapper (6) mate says i shouldn't even try and use my driver, so i've happily been hitting my 5 iron straight down the fairway about 180-210 yards

anyway another friend who plays off 4 said he had 3 drivers in his garage he never uses and i could have one gave me all 3 to see which i preferred

slices and misshits galore and i couldnt hit it further than the 150 yard marker

anyway after 30 balls and much frustration i borrowed my gf's 7 iron and i was able to clear the 15 marker, striking it lovely

i think going forward it's a 5 wood off the ree, my own 8 iron and pitching wedge to the green

maybe one day i'll hit a driver but for now should i stick to this?

p.s. i don't even play to my 28 handicap, lowest score round a 71 course is 104
