  • Hello W. Central GA here

Howdy, just recently started playing again after about a 6 year abscense. Lucky to have 6 courses within a 20 minute drive. I've been doing most of my golfing at 9 hole course called Pebblebrook. So far my best score for 9 holes is 46. My most memorable moment is 30-40(gotta add that extra 10) yard pitch that felt so good, land on the front of the green and roll in to save par. My clubs are some 10+ year old dunlops I bought at Kmart or Walmart. They're Fuzzy Zoeller edition or whatever, and I'm missing the 8, 6, and 5 irons (victims of hitting out of the trees).

My worst score, 77 on 9 holes was in my second round at a course called Hickory Ridge(18 hole course btw). This is a beatiful course located in the foothills of the Appalachine(sp?) down here, but man, its so freakin hard. I think I lost 8 or 9 balls playin mountain golf over there. I think there are only 2 flat holes out there, the rest require a shot over a valley filled with ball eating trees at some point. (almost like playing over water the whole time) That will be my redemption course when I get my confidence up to go back.

I've been enjoying myself quite a bit. I usually play weekday afternoons and haven't had enough daylight to play 18 much. Yesterday I played 18 at Pebblebrook (same 9 twice) and posted a 60 followed by a 54 for a total of 114. I slice like a food processor so if i try to give a tip about golf don't listen.
