Trick your Brain?
Try thinking of your second shot on par 4 holes as your first shot on a par 3. Everyone knows that they want the ball on the green in one stroke on par 3's, so just apply that principle to the second shot on par 4's. You will focus alot better. You can use this same drill on your 3rd shot on long par 5's. Let me know what you think. It works pretty well for me.
