    Here is a really good simple explanation of the basics of how to grip the golf club.

    Of course, if you look at many of the worlds top player their grips vary.

    Some may have a weak grip, some have a strong grip. This video explains a neutral position for the hands on the club, and is a good guide for someone who is beginning golf.

      Brilliant and simple back to basics video . Corrected a swing fault I've been struggling with recently and improved my ball striking immediately .

      I understand what they are saying about being passive and having grip pressure of 4. But I feel like when I grip the club with that kind of pressure, I have no control of the head at impact and a lot of times head will turn in my hands. Are you suppose to tense up at impact? Every picture I see of the pros at impact, their forearms are flexing quite a bit. So there is no way they are at a 4 at impact.

  • Posture

    The posture, as with the grip, is crucial as it maintains the correct angle of the spine on the backswing and throughswing and in turn controls your swing plane. If this is not performed correctly you could injure your back.

    The idea of the posture is to find a position which will not only keep you well balanced but will be one which allows you to generate a good solid swing around your body. The Posture also determines how far you stand from the ball.
