Well, in conditions that can only be described as "oppresive", with the mercury climbing almost to 40 degrees celcius. (Yup, just over 100 in the old units.) we played our first Medal round of the new year.

I can not say much of anything positive about my round, other than to say with 2 balls OOB and 2 4 putts (in a total of 37 putts for the day) I managed to get back into the sheds signing for a nett 80.

So poor were the scores generally on the day that only one member managed to beat his handicap and only one other had a net par 72. Ever other member shot at least 2 over par, net 74's for the day.

Amazing stuff really.

Tomorrow is another day and we are back down into the mid 20's temperature wise after having had a run of a week or so of severely hot weather here in Melbourne.
