Played last Saturday in incessant rain. Whilst I'm not complaining about the rain in itself, everyone knows we certainly need it here, however, I can't say as I had a pleasant golfing day out.
Found myself 13 shots over par through 5 holes and from there, my mind wasn't anywhere near wanting to finish my round.
My ball striking had deserted me. Was thinning them, fatting them, topping them, spraying them left and right. "Military golf" one of my playing partners said...... Very funny...
Managed to keep my sense of humour with me and enjoyed the company and the frothies after the round.
The fact that I managed to sign for my second 95 in 3 weeks (with an 83 sandwiched in between) meant that I played the last 13 holes 10 over the card. Look at the positives, Craig, look at the positives...

So now my thoughts have turned to tomorrow and a round with our new Club Captain. He is an ex pro, who gave that away when family committments became more important than his golf and now, some 5 years or so later, he has started playing again and has his cap back to 2 and looks like getting to scratch before I get to 14.
Should be good fun.....
If my up and down form of the last month holds true, I'm in for a good one tomorrow...
Cheers
Thanks for reading.

Your good rounds encourage me to keep plugging away to pursue (from a good few strokes behind) the same improvements and your poor rounds re-assure me that I'm not the only one who throws in the odd nightmare round.
Keep posting Craig, and good luck tomorrow.
