Another stableford round this week and our quarter final match of our pairs knockout event.

My partner and I were still in the hunt after our close tussle last week and was again feeling the pre match "nerves". I was happy that it going to be a good day.

What followed was an almost mirror image of my last stableford round 2 weeks previous.

Again 32 points. Again 4 scratched holes. Again poor shot selection led to the scratches.

With the assistance of my ex trainee pro mate, who has been looking over my swing, I have made a couple of slight set up changes (grip, stance and ball position) and am also now only going with a 3/4 swing as my predominant shot, unless the suituation calls for something fuller.

Have weakened my left hand, narrowed my stance and moved a little closer to the ball.

The results have been (mostly) fantastic. I now need to commit to some time on the range in order to groove these new changes and make them automatic.

We would go on to win the pairs game and now progress to the semi finals in 2 weeks time.

Next week is Medal day and if I can get some range time in, another good score is definitely on the cards...

Thanks for reading.

Cheers
