Again, conditions were best described as trying. Strong winds and intermittent rain across a day where the sun shone brightly at times as well.

Where as last week's opening 6 holes went Par, triple bogey, birdie, par, par, par to have me standing on the 7th tee at 2 over the card, this week, it was quad bogey, par, par, par, par, par to be standing on the 7th tee at 4 over the card.

From there, the round was simply an exercise in getting back into the sheds for a cold frothy or 20.

Would card a net 74 for the day, my best round of the Champs, happily finishing my round with an up and down sand save birdie 4 at the par 5 last hole, which was playing down wind and having hit half a 7I into the greenside trap.

Finished the Champs 15 over handicap, or 54 over par for 54 holes.

On review of the 3 rounds, I had posted 3 quads, 3 triples and 5 doubles across the 3 rounds. So 31 of 54 over in just 10 holes, this means (if my maths adds up) that I played the other 44 holes only 23 over.

There's my positive right there....

I know I am capable of shooting good numbers...

Just need to keep those blow out holes off my card. Have said that before, but it is still evident in my game.

Across the 3 rounds, I didn't drive the ball at all well, didn't have my short game with me and certainly didn't putt the lights out.

After the round was done, we congratulated the winners, and celebrated hard. After all, that's what the event was about.

It is AFL Grand Final week here in Melbourne this week and our club round this week is a 4 man ambrose, with an early tee time so as we cal all settle in to watch the big game after the round is done.

I am indeed looking forward to this.

Thanks again for reading.
Cheers
