Arrived at the course and thankfully the weathermen had indeed got it wrong yet again. The day turned out to be a belter and after the round, there were some fellows who'd obvioulsy forgotten the sunscreen......
The event of the day was a 2 man ambrose and I had drawn another fellow with the same handicap (13) as myself, and we teed it up with a view to simply enjoy the day, regardless of the outcome.
We would post a gross score of 2 over par 74 for the day, giving us a net 67.5 for the day where a net 64.25 would win on a count back.
Not even close.....

Struck the ball well tee to green and with the newly cored greens, we didn't look like making a putt of any much length all day. From memory the longest we got to drop all day was about 10 feet.
A good fun day was had by all...
Thanks for reading.
Cheers

Struck the ball well.
Weather a belter.
Can't ask for much more than that from a day's golf.
Since watching so called "very good" golfers up close a few weeks back, I have had a "water shed" discovery...
Golf is about enjoying yourself and getting the thing in the cup 18 times in as few strokes as is possible.
I'm excited to say I am very much looking forward to tomorrows round.
I already KNOW (regardless of score) I'm going to have fun.
I now know, there are some decisions I need to make ahead of time in order to get the very best out of my own skill level on the day.
One Shot At A Time....
Do the best I can with each one.....
No more, no less, I can't wait....
Watch this space....
Cheers
