Well after a night at the tennis circus during the week, (NB: Andy M is good, but he's not THAT good... ) I was looking forward to a couple of rounds over the long weekend here that bears our Country's name.

Saturday's round was a 4BBB Par round and I was paired with a fellow off 14 who hadn't hit a ball since November and we lit it up around the front 9 only to give nearly all our good work back to the course around the back 9. We would finish only 1 up on a day where 11 up won the chockies...

Again struck the ball really solidly tee to green, hitting 9 of 18 greens in reg. Would not make a single one of those 9 birdie putts though several sat on the lip.

Monday's round was just a social one with 3 of my mates from the club and I shot 88 off the stick with 38 putts after again hitting half of the greens in reg for the second straight round and again not making any of the birdie chances I had given myself.

My excuse for the higher score on Monday was that I'd been for a 60km bike ride during the morning, before teeing it up in the heat of the day about 2pm.

Still, I'm striking the ball well and it is becoming ever more apparent that once I find my touch (read "confidence") on and around the greens, I'm sure something really low is there for me....

Thanks for reading.
Cheers
