Well I have managed 6 rounds (so far) this year.
98, 92, 103, 105, 96, 95
Ball striking with the irons has improved beyond recognition. Last game I hit a beautiful 6i to 6 inches.
Tee shots have been on the whole pretty decent. I now take an iron off certain holes (trouble to the right) and it is working by taking big numbers off the card. Last round I had nothing higher than a 6 and didn't lose a single ball.
Putting has been so-so, I had 36 putts in the last round, but I managed to 3 putt and then 4 putt back to back greens that I was GIR on.
What has been keeping me from my holy grail (breaking 90) is the short game. It was absolutely abysmal last game, I got into some great spots with good tee shots and iron play and could not chip or pitch to save my life. I had practiced the day before until I was happy with my short game, but when I got to the course, it totally sucked.
Mind you, if I could play more often and get into those situations more often I reckon I could be a solid high 80s, low 90s player.
