Re: This forum is dedicated to discussion on the 3skillsgolf methodology.
I'm not aware of any situation, but I don't think that anyone should come on and say "3SK is ****! You're all being hoodwinked!" It would be akin to yelling that Soylent Green is people.
I don't think it would be tolerated any more than going to a TLT forum and debasing that system - I think purely negative posts would disappear, too.
However, if you want to see true totalitarianism, head on over to the bombsquad golf forums and post something even halfway contradictory...
It's one thing to struggle, it's another to debase.
As long as you don't say anything negative about it, if you do, your post mysteriously disappears like this one will.
Not very democratic is it chaps?
That's a little unfair my friend. I think it would be quite acceptable for you or anyone to post their disagreement with the system based on experience or theoretical consideration. It would not be seen as acceptable behaviour to make unsubstantiated negative posts or to unfairly be-base others beliefs without substantive evidence. I think these principals would hold true with any subject on this forum and I would expect the FMs to intervene.
Mariner, if you have something of substance to contribute for or against 3Skills then please enlighten us.
Re: This forum is dedicated to discussion on the 3skillsgolf methodology.
I bought the book 6 months ago and gave it a really good try, I found a couple of things that I didn't think worked for me and I posted my thoughts here, but that post disappeared.
All I said was, that the "hitting the nail on the head" imagery made me hit AT the ball instead of through it, while consciously revolving the clubface from open to closed through impact may add power but made me wildly inconsistent in direction, and as for swinging from the inside, well, I've spent 22 years trying to do that . . .
As far as I remember, that was the gist of the post that was removed, and I think that falls into the category you outlined?

I find it difficult to understand how those comments would be seen as unacceptable
Re: This forum is dedicated to discussion on the 3skillsgolf methodology.
hi mariner
i have in the past often discussed 3sk with many people on her including Kevin and he has agreed that in some systems 3sk don't work as in the system i use. i have said often here that it don't work if you use a square to square swing and only works if you swing open to square to closed.
i have never had any problems with my posts or the fact i have said it don't work with all swings and have had some very interesting discussions about it with mainly Brian and Kevin. its a system that does work but it not for everybody and won't work for me but i have been allowed to view my views on the matter here and had nothing but help form the many members that use it daily with good results.
if it don't work for you post why and the reason you think why. I'm sure if its something you not doing right then many on here will try and help and if like me it the system you use is not compatible then people like me will tell you why the two systems wont work and my be able to help in other ways but you will get to put your views.
cheers

Re: This forum is dedicated to discussion on the 3skillsgolf methodology.
Thanks for that, I don't want to cause any bad feeling, I was just concerned for the validity of this great site. Let's just say it's not compatible with my swing for the reasons I stated above (though I have recommended it to other people)
Re: This forum is dedicated to discussion on the 3skillsgolf methodology.
hi Mariner
i started a post here on Mindy Blake and his system and it has had over 1300 viewings and 48 people have posted about it and its a system that don't work with 3sk, its a square to square system and i don't think i would of been able to post about Mindy if this site was censured the way you have said.
cheers

Re: This forum is dedicated to discussion on the 3skillsgolf methodology.
When I say "Difficult to understand" I mean in the context that the site owners and Moderators here are good people that I have a high regard for and find it difficult to understand how such comments would have been removed.
Re: This forum is dedicated to discussion on the 3skillsgolf methodology.
Hi Guys,
I have not deleted any of Mariners posts and I have trawled through all the 3 skills posts, posted by Mariner and don't find any offesive material infact it looks to me like it was working and you were hitting the ball better than ever.
Until someone videoed your swing and you were apparently shocked at how bad your swing looked, my swing has gone much flater but I don't care what it looks like as long as the ball flys well.
Unless I just can't find it, I have chatted with you for years now and would never delete anything unless I spoke to you first.
Re: This forum is dedicated to discussion on the 3skillsgolf methodology.
not guilty either!
as the OP of the 3skills thread i was interested to read other peoples 'take' on the concept. if we dont have different opinions then it would be a pretty lame forum
i can assure you i havent deleted any posts in that thread but as ive already stated any posts that contains personal attacks on members will not be tolerated and deleted with immediate effect!
