Is SK2 what the Jack Nicklaus "Inside Approach" is all about? They seem the same concept.

    Re: Sk2

Its about the swingpath being on an inside to square to inside arc and contacting the ball at the widest part of the arc. The drills and imagery are to get you doing this and stop you using an outside in swingpath.

When it comes down to it all good swings are the same through impact, 3 Skills explains this.

I went to the range today and found SK1 and SK2 to be OK. My 8 iron goes out around 120 yds which is fine for me.

I'm confounded about SK3. I can imagine all I want but it isn't translating to the clubhead. Oh well, back to the range.

I know that the principle is to get rid of swing thoughts but as you are struggling with the concept of moving the clubface from open to closed through impact maybe this short golf video will give you an idea of the concept:

thanks brian, still trying to find the right hand movement to strike the ball on the sweet spot been checking out some of the ben hogan, moves.. does this action turn your wrists from outside to inside to make sure you impact the club onto the sweet spot..

Thanks, brian, for posting that youtube on educating the hands. that is an excellent exercise. Yesterday I was reading some of teachings of Joe Dante. Until then I was not clear on proper wrist movements for the beginning of the backswing. This fellow demonstates it clearly.

                Chuck

David Blair has a series of golf lessons on YouTube called 'SwingBuild' IMO they are very good and David's instructional technique is spot on.
