  • SMT irons and Driver

Don't know if this is allowed (I'm sure the moderators will soon let me know if it isn't) but I'll give it a go.

I'm getting rid of my trusty SMT CB2 irons and O2 driver and want to give GTO members first refusal before I put them on E bay.

The irons are 4 to PW and are hand built with Dynamic Gold R300 shafts which have been spine aligned and have brand new Golf Pride Tour velvet grips fitted.
The cavity of the heads are showing a bit of the usual wear and tear of a well used set but the faces are in top class nick.

The O2 driver also hand built and is fitted with a Dynamic Gold R300 shaft which is also spine aligned.
Incuded is an SMT magnetic head cover which is starting t show a bit of wear.

I'm looking for £100 for the irons (a stupidly low price) plus £12 postage.
The driver is selling for £80 plus £10 postage.
I also have matching SMT durometer wedges (51, 55 and 59) which can be included with the irons if need be.
I will negotiate a price for these if required.

I'm getting rid of all these to fund a set of the SMT MB irons which I'm going to build for myself.

I plan to put the stuff on E bay next Friday so if anyone's interested, let me know before then.

These clubs were all custom built by myself and it really is a wrench to be selling them, but needs must I'm afraid.
I'd like them to have a good home
Contact me by PM if required.

    Loft on the O2?

    Will you ship heads only?

    What's postage to Canada?

      The O2 is 9 degrees.
I'll get back to you on postage.
Would you want the shaft completely pulled or would cut down be ok (say 3" above the head) as I don't want to damage the finish?

        Just checked postage to Canada.
The head only should be about £10.
Inclusion of the headcover puts the price way up as it's about 3 times as heavy as the head.

OK - the O2 is too low for me.

I think cut shafts would have more potential for damage than just straight heads. I find that the trick when pulling heads is to use a strong heat source (propane torch), but to keep it moving. A buddy that does his work in my shop likes to bake his heads - the get gun blued because he's too long with the heat!

So, what's your final asking price for iron heads, shipped?

Sorry I've not replied sooner, I've been working.
The cost to post the iron heads to Canada is ridiculous .
You'd be better buying new ones.

The good old brittish postal service has been modernised (i.e. they now charge as much as they can).

              LOL too true.

I've got a line on some used ones (a fella looking to trade). I'm just looking to get my ball flight down (those 600XC's are definitely high flight), and have loved the look of the 303's.

Bump for a sweet set of irons.
