  • Name brand vs. components

I'm looking to upgrade my Driver. I have a Calloway Big Bertha from the late 90's. I often get asked "Is that your 3-wood" ?

I don't want to spend more than $100.00. Would I be better off finding a used name brand online or having a new clone made from a component company ?

If name brand, I'm leaning to a Cleveland Launcher 460 from a few years back.

Do you mean clone or component?

You'll be hard pressed to find a quality component assembled for under $100, but plenty of clones.

The Callaway 454Ti is probably the best OEM head on the market right now, followed by the Mizuno MX600.

Sorry, my question was a bit contradictory. I have looked at both clones and components. The clone is available for under $100.00. Components would exceed $100.00.

My choice boils down to clone vs. used name brand.

Gotcha. Cally 454Ti or the Mizzy MX600 are what I'd look for.

Or, if you could find one on the cheap, folks are lovin' the Cobra F Speed
