  • New shaft for r7

I have a lot of fun mixing technology by hand bending shafts to check kick points and comparing flex etc. and going with gut feelings,a think that's the art part of the fitting and certainly a good journey of learning. I am getting a little older now and although it doesn't feel my swing speed has slowed much, I am getting quite a regular "hard" feeling shots like the club feels more like a broom stick. I currently have several choices of clubs at a good price to switch my stiff Fujikura 60 remax .1 Aldila DVS 65. 2. Fujikura E150 3. Fujikura speed rated 60 . All with .350 shaft. all Regular
I really like the driver, just want to soften it a little. All input gratefully accepted.

The DVS will give you softer in the hands without ballooning.

Great ,thanks mate. So is the dvs is a good shaft or just the best of the bunch I gave you ?

It's a decent shaft. It's different from the shaft you're currently playing; but still a good shaft. I've got one in an Adams 9016D that I hit bombs with.

Just one more question, the r7 I have is 9.5 and S flex and I still have to be careful because I have a tendency to balloon, come to think of it, is S for senior or stiff ? I am certain I need a Reg. Well, this edit is to say I am now completely confused about the dvs65 , nvs 65 and nv 65, such happens with too much computer time logged

S is for Stiff. A is for senior (amateur).

The NV is the stiffest-tipped of the group, and will have a little softer feel in the hands than the DVS.

I'd go NV to stop the ballooning. And make sure it's a real NV, not a "made for" NV. "Made for" shafts are generally softer in the tip.
