i'm new to golf but i am only 5'5. should i use reguler length clubs or have custom made shorter clubs?

you should probably have shorter clubs made for you.....i am about 5'8 and clubs are just about perfect standard

It largely depends on if you're a guy or a girl. Ladies' clubs are shorter (as a rule) then mens' clubs.

You would definitely want to get the shafts trimmed down to suit your height. Also, make sure they adjust your lie angle as well. If you get your lie adjusted 2 - 4* flat you will not have to cut quite as much off the shafts.
