Diamond Rifle Golf Shafts

I've just purchased a set of the above in a 5.0 regular flex. They have a diamond patterned section about 3 inches (75 mm) long in the middle of the shaft. Can anybody provide me with any info about them e.g. - who makes them - how they compare with a standard Rifle shaft ????

I just bought 8 of those as well, when i was looking them up i believe that royal precision makes them. Performance wise, i still dont know yet. Got mine cheap on ebay. $35 for 8.

Thanks for the info - I'd done some research myself and came up with the same answers but I also contacted Royal Precision who informed me this shaft is no longer produced but weren't forthcoming with anymore info. Anyway the set I purchased were more expensive than yours but they were specifically trimmed to suit a set of Callaway X16 Pro Series irons.
Will get them fitted at the end of our season (end September) and get used to their "different characteristics" over the winter. Will keep you posted as to how they perform.
