extending graphite shaft

There is this driver with the Speeder 757 shaft that I want to buy. Unfortunately, its only 44inch long. If I get it extended to 44.5inch, would that cause poor performance from the shaft? I guess it would have to be extended at the butt end.
Any feedback would be great.

You can extend a shaft by up to 2 inches without much trouble.
It will be done from the butt end and is VERY easy to do.

Get an extender (either an aluminium one or a graphite specific one) and stick it in the end of your shaft with epoxy.

I like to install the extender dry first ,measure it and cut it to size before I stick it with the epoxy.

I was looking for vibration inserts (not for me.I like to feel my bad shots) and they came up in a search engine.

I agree - Tim & Wendy are tops. I try to shop Canadian whenever possible, but when I cross the border, that's where I go.

In fact, Tim's building me two POM's as we speak.

why bother, in the best pro's from 44 to 45 inches only makes roughly 20 yards difference. you probably hit the 44 incher better than the 45 because you have a little more control. it worked for me i shortened mine to 44 and hit the sweet spot more consistently.i also like MyOstrich golf ,great place.

I've gone back to a 45" driver. I was using one cut down to 44.25", and was hitting really well, (I mean REALLY well), so I decided to go back to a 45". I'm not as consistent hitting the sweet spot (my misses are about 1/2" off, at worst), but I'm enjoying the extra yardage.

Its all a matter of a feel thing for me. 44" feels a little too short for me. I have a 44.5" now and its just right.

I have bought the club now. Its the Titleist 905T 8.5 with Speeder 757 X. Cant wait to get it.
I wrote in another post of getting shaft changed but it was much cheaper just to look around and buy another one with the spec that you want. (I am not into clubmaking so couldnt do it myself....)

If you can superglue a handle back onto a cup you can extend a shaft.

Cut extension to size - smear with epoxy - bung it into the end of the shaft.

Once epoxy cures put on a new grip.

It's that easy.

Luckily for me,the guy who I am buying it from will take it to the shop and get it done for me plus new grips and all.

Plus, you can use pretty much any high-strength epoxy for extensions (not like for gluing heads).

Hello all, first post. I am new to golf and got myself a set of RAM Wizards, I am guessing standard length. I am 6'2" and when I goto the driving range to practice, the woods seem to be ok length wise. When I try the hybrid or the irons, I swing and miss....alot. Is it because they are too short? Do I need to bend more? I have not gottem my lessons yet but was thinking maybe I should get them lengthened an inch.

What do you all thing?
