Does going to more shaft flex improve distance? hurt shot dispersion?
advisable for someone using stiff but wanting more workability

A new highlight: Golfing the home course on Christmas Day.
I say it too often: If it's golf club shaped, you can play with it.
For the record, I'm a club doctor, not a swing doctor.

Re: Shaft flex
As a rule, the more flexible the shaft IN YOUR CONTROLABLE RANGE the more your shots disperse. Conversely, the stiffer the shaft, the more your shots converge.

I find that the stiffer the flex the tighter the shot dispersion!

Too stiff, however, and you may find that your tight dispersion is all grouped away from you - pushed.
