  • My new clone driver.

Okay fellas the results are in...... I have finished and played my new driver. I purchased a clone of a Callaway X-460. Its called a DFT 460 and hase a huge blue x on the bottom. Anyone familiar? I put a Trident stiff flex 2.8 torque shaft in it. Standard length. 45 or so inches. Oh yes, here is the kicker....its a 12 degree driver.

What I wanted was 3 wood distance with the forgivness of a 460cc head. Here is what I achieved. Average distance is 260-265 yards and IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FAIRWAY!!!

Its is great! Even though I am not coming in to the green with a wedge or 9 iron.....now I use a 7 or so....
12 degree 460cc head is a great forgiving combination. You have to lose the testosterone and start playing smart golf........you know...... in the fairway.

    Re: My new clone driver.

Concur with your assesment. I recently bought a DFT Final IDrive FT Square driver, 12dg loft (Clone of the Callaway square driver). In my last 4 rounds I have only missed 3 fairways. I am a 10 handicapper and hit my drives 250-280. I also use the brush tee (have had it now for 2 years and it is still going strong). My clone driver was $75 vice $499 for the real thing. I actually played a round with the real one it did not like it has much or hit as well (clubhead felt to light). I never thought I would have a clone club in my bag but after the success with this driver I will it in the bag.
