  • Reshafting Callaway irons

Anyone have any tips regarding reshafting Callaway (or any bore through) iron.
Any info on tip trimming, shaft angle cuts etc. would be appreciated.

I know a tip plug has to be used for a tidy finish but, other than that, I'm diving in blind.

    Thanks in advance.

Well, I've never dealt with bore-through before...

As with any OEM, however, double check the shaft tip, as it is most likely tapered (so if it is, make sure you reshaft with tapered shafts).

Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Funnily enough, when I phoned callaway for trimming instructions and chop angles they asked me if I was using tapered shafts.
When I said no, they didn't warn me not to use parallel tips.

Hmmmm, think I'll make a phone call to my component supplier and pick his brain before I light the blowtorch.
