  • steps in shafts

    Hi All,

Can someone discribe the reasons for the steps in the outside stainless steel shafts. Are all steps configured the same way for example stiff flex and reg flex.

They're made so that you can get from .600" at the butt end down to .370", .355", .350", and .335" at the other end.

No, they're not configured the same way. In fact, you can use the distance between steps to identify an unlabelled shaft.

The number and pattern of steps will effect the stiffness, flex profile of the shaft, and bend point of the shaft.
