    Re: Cutting Down Length

Stop waiting, start doing. I think you'll be very surprised with the results.

      Re: Cutting Down Length

Alright! I'm off to do the deed. This is going to be like cutting planks, right

      Measure twice, cut once.

Wish me luck! Southpole! I mean Lowpost!

      Tenaciousdee out!

The important part will be not lining your clubs up next to one another hoping to see a uniform progression.

        "Luke, trust your instincts".

I think you'll enjoy your next few rounds.

          Re: Cutting Down Length

So, here I am the; the instigator of this great debate. I have to say that after cutting down my ping's I am very please with the results. I feel that the tailored length outweighs the affected drawabacks in swingweight, stifness and lie angle. However as I menioned in an earlier post, my clubfitting had me pegged for 4 degrees upright and that may have been incorrect, so this cutting down may have also improved things in these areas.....who knows. The bottm line is that I am happy with the results. And thanks to all who chimed in on this slightly obscure, yet pertinent topic.

            Re: Cutting Down Length

Yes, I considered that the length of the clubs will not be either progressively longer or shorter.

I also considered cutting the same length on each of them so that they would be uniform in their appearance but then it would only be partially
customized where any given club would be compromised as opposed to
            each club being "customized"

Then again how many golfers stand their clubs next to each other if only to admire them in their progressive lengths.?

            Thanks for the advice!

              Re: Cutting Down Length

If you cut them all to the same length, the lie angles will be out.
