  • Regular shaft driver spraying right

    guys,

been trying the new Titleist D1 with a regular shaft 67 gram factory fitted shaft and my ball flight is changed to a fade.

My older club is a stfff 45 gram Cobra 440Sz (sadly now non conforming) and it was like mostly draw and about 20m longer. it was also about half inch shorter.

I thought a regular shaft would make my ball draw more? try as i might I cant get the Titleist to draw naturally! funny thing is that I would never miss the fairway if I carried both for a round of golf.....

any idea why the REG shaft behaves this way? i would like to understand more before I go spend some money on a after-market shaft.

    Thanks Guys!!

It sounds to me like you're overpowering the shaft. Although, conventional wisdom says that because you're slicing, the shaft is too stiff for you

    Move to a stiffer shaft.

    A couple of quick rules:

    1) If you're killing the demo club on the range, BUY THE CLUB IN YOUR HANDS.

    2) Always consider an aftermarket shaft. You really can't trust the flex designation on the OEM shaft.
