  • Length of Courses

Just interested in the length of your course (averages in your country) and its course rating.

Where I play - rural area in Australia, my home course is 5259 metres ACR 72 (ladies) and 6050 metres ACR 72 (gents).

      Re: Length of Courses

      Hi Nicole...

My home track is 5,986m (ACR 72) from the Black Markers and 5,599 (AWCR 75) from the Red Markers. Interestingly, 3 of the 5 Par 4's on the back 9 are Par 5's for the Ladies.

The front 9 is pretty short, only 2,867m and includes 5 of the easiest 8 holes. The Back 9 is noticably longer at 3,119m and also harder having 5 of the hardest 7 holes.

So, you can set up a good score around the front, then, battle your way home round the back. Which is pretty much how it seems to go for me...

      Cheers

        Re: Length of Courses

I travel the USA alot, and get to play different courses. Most of the courses I play are right around 7000 +/- yards, or 6400 +/- meters. I usually play them from the second set of tees. GJS

          Re: Length of Courses

My home course is about 6100 yards, 116/69.8 slope/rating from the mens' tees.

It's a 9 hole course, with two sets of chalks - white for the front 9 and blue for the back. The yardage doesn't really change on holes 1/10, 3/12, 6/15, and only really changes enough on 5/14, 8/17, and 9/18 to make a difference.
