Scratch 8620 Wedge

I just received my Scratch 8620. Great looking club. I got the 53 degree gap wedge. I have not been to the range yet, and wanted to get some feedback on this club from some forum members who might have one. The milled face along with aggresive grooves looks like it will tear up some balls. Anyone have any experience with this thing?

have not tried the 8620 but i did use milled wedges recomened by lowpost (smt durameter) and found they did scuff up the balls quite a bit, ended up swaped then for ping wedges and the did not scuff the ball. they were good wedges.
i did find i got loads of backspin with the milled wedges and sometimes way to much backspin. sometimes spining back over 20 feet.
don't get as much backspin with the Ping's but know where the ball will finish.

Hi Sam
if you use a soft ball you will be lucky to get 9 holes out it if you use the wedges on most holes, you do get lots of backspin and it does look good hitting 10 feet past the hole and spinning back.
i used a medum hard ball and i would get a round out one ball before it was so badly scuffed. but i was unable to control the backspin so swaped my milled wedges for ones i could control the backspin more.

Took the wedge to the chipping green last night. This thing really does put the breaks on the ball. But it rips them to schreads. I was using the Titleist Gran Z balls and after about ten thirty yard pitch shots at the green, the balls were almost unplayable. That being said, this is the best wedge I have played with.
