  • Golfer's elbow

Has anyone on here suffered from this ? I've been hitting more balls than usual lately and the inside point of my right elbow is stiff and sore. If I press on my ring finger, I can also feel the soreness in my elbow.

It's probably a sign of bad mechanics.

My research tells me rest is about the only remedy. I'm trying to hang on as the season will be winding down here in Missouri.

i suffered from this a few kears ago , and went to see a sports physio. she gave me 2 excercises to do.
hold your arm out straight and keeping your fingers straight. try to bend your hand at the wrist joint( both upwards & downwards) hold for a few moments each time. you will feel the 'pull'at the elbow.
the 2nd excercise involves running your thumb across the painfull area trying to 'unravel' the knotted tendons. can't remember if you rub across or down though!!hope this helps , it's not a lot of fun playing golf with this injury.

      Hi there,

not to spam but.....I too suffered from "the Elbow", probably due to the same issues, not stretching, poor biomechanics, over compensating/swinging, etc. We make a new type of Endurance Tape called ROCKTAPE that when applied to the inner forearm and elbow greatly reduces pain. You may have seen similar tape on athletes during the Olympics? It works by lifting the skin which promotes circulation which delivers more oxygen to the muscles in the afflicted area. This increase in blood flow means faster repair and recovery. Additionally the tape stabilizes the area without constricting movement. In fact with our tape you will have full Range of Motion (ROM) which allows you to continue to play, albeit it without as much pain. Might want to look into it and talk to a PT as well. Hope this helps! www.rocktape.com
