  • Left and right side of the brain

I have a book: "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain" by Betty Edwards. Right side being the artist or feeling side and left side the rational, controlling side.

Idea is to use your right side, but also your left side. You just need to learn when you are in different "modes". This is done by learning to shift from "Left side of the brain" to "Right side".

Has anyone applied this in golf? The idea of feeling and managing the difference? How to get back in to the "zone". How to use your left side, but swing let the "right side" do the swinging...

    The Ideal Performance State

I looked up a book called:
Essentials of Strength training and conditioning, edited by Thomas R. Baechle and Roger W. Earle. On the chapter "The Psychology of Athletic Preparation and Performance page 193 - 194 is also discussion about left and right side of the brain. Looks like it's more than just a "crazy drawing book" thing!

Big thing is that the drawing book teaches how to shift your dominance to the right side, which seems to be more efficient in golf.

    Hannu - again...
