    Re: Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

I don't use a driver and haven't done for years, i'm a firm believer in getting the ball onto the fairway as opposed to hitting the ball a fair way

    hi andy
glad you managed to get out and blow away the cobwebs 37 sounds pretty good to me mate on a cold blustery day!

after 18 months i finally came to your way of thinking and it helps when you are hitting your 3wood sweetly

This is absolutely best choice, especially if you don.t have confidence in your driver ( as i haven't ).

It all boils down to knowing your distances for every single club in your bag. There is o long par five on boysnope ( 514 yard ) and i see so many people tee up with their driver and then either send the ball out of bounds or into the bunkers at around 220 yards.Or they hit a wonderful tee shot but then are confused as to which club to use next and nine times out of ten they choose totally the wrong club which messes up the rest of the hole for them.
I play the hole exactly the same way , every single time.
TEE SHOT: 18 degree hybrid , 200 yards and short of the bunkers.
      2nd SHOT: 25 degree hybrid , 180 yards.
3rd SHOT: 8 iron onto the green, which leaves me 1 putt for birdie, or 2 putts for a par.

so it really is true, you don't have to hit big booming drives to master par 5's or any par 4's. Just get that first shot onto the fairway and know your yardages.

My mother-in-law had the surgery in her right hand and has not had any problems after that she is getting ready to have it done to her left hand.

I have two pins in my left wrist and it kills me sometime let me know what you find out about those wrist braces.
