Hitting it Straight - Shaping

I've come to a point in my game where for some reason I only ever see shots as a fade or a draw

I have a draw swing (aim right, close club face, flat swing) and a fade swing(aim left, open clubface, steep swing) and I hit both pretty good. I mostly only try draw the longer clubs (7 down)

Played yesterday and did well but I remember a few times seeing a shot that was probably straight and just bakcking off it and fading it instead. I think for some reason I have lost confidence in even trying to hit it straight as I all I see now is left or right

Anyone else like this?

Long time no speak, now are you complaining or showing off??

I think most top players see both exactly the same, the only difference is theirs is only very very slight left or right.

The main thing is you recognise what is required for each shot, a good thing, you can hit both however you do it, again good thing.

Now go away and practice your putting your normal.

This is where course management comes in... Allowing for a fade or draw... the problem is if you don't know if it will fade or draw...

LOL .. not good enough to show off mate

Seriously though when I stand over a straight shot im not sure if i'll pull it, push it etc. All I know is theres little chance of it going dead straight. Seems right now its by far the hardest shot to play - if I set up to play what is in effect a controlled hook or a slice then great
