  • For those who miss Go Low

    Hi guys,

I have missed the postings this member made since his departure. But yesterday, while following a link that was posted into another thread I found a free online, out of print book by Joe Dante called ‘The 4 Magic Moves To Winning Golf’. It seams to me, in what I have read so far, to be very similar ideas and writing style as Go Low. I am not sure what the relationship Go Low has with this book(ie. read the book years ago, knows the author, etc) but I am sure there is a strong link. I am enjoying the book myself so I thought I would post it up for others to enjoy or find useful.

Just follow the links on the left of the page.

    Enjoy

    I love this website!

I've stated previously (probably when golfinguy has put the link up) that I think it's the best written instruction I've seen. I refer back to it when I get into trouble and can't get to my coach. I think it's superb although a little disjointed in places due to the editing of the website.

Thanks for posting the link again. Might read up this morning as a refresher!

You can't go far wrong with this stuff.

Joe Dante wrote his book around 50 years ago and it was a bit controversial in it's time. The modern swing has moved very much in it's direction over the years.

Go Low promoted a single plane swing as I do myself as it is easy to maintain and has little to go wrong. Much of Dante's swing theory is sound fundamentals, especially his writings on the release and how COAM works to generate speed. I have not been able to use his early wrist break method succsessfully, I tried it for a while but found it difficult in the full swing.

      Still a great read.

Another good read is Leslie Kings series of lessons (see attached link) The Book "The swing factory" is an update on his teaching method.
