      Re: Flat halfway back

I find it difficult to see his alignment as the camera angle is not clear.

When considering a swing it is important to understand the type of swing being used. Jimmy's swing is a form of a one plane swing where the club is taken away and brought back more around the body than in a two plane swing. The arms also work in a slightly different way through impact as one arm extends and the other retracts, this may give the impression that the wrists are swatting but they are not, the wrists do not roll over, they push through.

His OP was questioning the plane of his swingpath which IMO sticks nicely to the plane at address, his shoulder and arm plane is good at the top, returns nicely at impact (maybe a little tight to the body) and continues on plane in the follow through. He is comparing his swingpath at the top and follow through to a two plane swing which will not be the same.

        Hey jimmysu,

If you could get two vids posted; one from straight down the line with the camera positioned between the ball and your feet and at chest height, and the other a face on view at chest height.

That would give us and you maximum helpage!
